Studio sessions are definitely becoming a favorite of mine. Its not hot, we can get beautiful light filled images, its comfortable, and you are able to see my growing collection of props. This sweet little ballerina is my daughter Chloe. At the end of last year, her first year in ballet, she told me she didn’t really like it. You can imagine as a mom, I was crushed as I looked forward to all the little recitals, tutus and my tiny little dancer. After her recital she changed her mind, typical 5 year old I know, and said she wanted to try again. We did this 10minute session earlier this summer. A friend mentioned how her toes were so pointed and was a great sign of her potential. She currently only does gymnastics but every time we pass by her old dance studio, I think about enrolling her again. Isn’t dance and recitals just part of a childhood?? I did baton twirling (I dont even know if that still exists! ha) but enjoyed the few years I did it. I think letting your children do what they want is more important than forcing them to do an activity that maybe only you as a parent want. We will see what my little ballerina decides.
